09 Feb St. Louis Launches Dollar House Program

In an effort to reduce the number of vacant city owned properties, the St. Louis Land Reutilization Authority will begin selling certain residential properties in the City’s land bank through the “Dollar House” program.  There are 551 eligible properties to buy. Prospective buyers must submit an application along with a $25 non refundable fee. If the application is approved the buyer will have to attend homeowners counseling classes  and use license contractors to make improvements to the property.
