Since 1998, the Bear Creek Golf Club has been one of the best public golf courses in Wentzville and the surrounding St. Charles county.   Designed by known architect Gary Kern, this 18 hole course features the preservation of most of the trees and natural habitat making each hole unique and challenging.  There’s also a driving range and short game practice facilities to warm up before you get started.  Plus, they hold elegant events year round during the evening hours, and the host several tournaments for private and public group during the day.  Come perfect your swing at “the Home of the Grizzly” in Bear Creek Golf Club in Wentzville!

This beautiful 72-acre park has as much as you could ask for in a park.  There’s a lake for fishing, a walking trail, playground, Kolb Exhibit Hall and three pavilions.  And don’t forget to check out all the activities the park puts on!  You can experience 4th of July festivities, Concerts, and Movies in the Park, the Soapbox derby and the Holiday Night Lights all right in Rotary Park.  The park is also home to the St. Charles Community Fair, the Greater St. Louis Renaissance Festival, and the St. Louis Pirate Festival.  So hop on over to Rotary Park and see what great event is happening today!

Every year St. Charles puts on an amazing county fair.  There are tons of great activities that are sure to entertain everyone in your party, including great bands, tasty food, roller coasters, parades, derbies, karaoke, petting zoos, mechanical bull riding, dog competitions, tug-a-war and pony rides, just to name a few.  Summertime has never been so fun! If you’re looking for a good time and love Living History, then you had better visit this year’s Greater St. Louis Renaissance Faire in Wentzville.  Every year the Faire recreates the spirit of Renaissance France and does it magically.  Visit the village shops full of crafts, or watch the costumed cast as they sing and laugh.  And don’t miss the sword fighting and juggling!  Plus they have a petting zoo and games for children in their own “kingdom”.  Check out the website (www.renstl.org) to find this year’s dates and events!

St. Louis Pirate Festival

We’ve all seen a pirate movie or two, but who REALLY knows what pirates were like?  The people at the St. Louis Pirate Festival do!  Come visit the annual festival in Wentzville’s Rotary Park and watch pirates in action.  The fest takes place in a re-created Fort Royal of 1755 on the isle of Martinique, in which the pirates are invading.  Come laugh, sing, drink and play along with the life like pirates of 1755!
